Super GT 2009 Round 4 : Sepang Circuit
We just got back from Round 4 of the Super GT 2009 series at the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia. It was 2 days of activities, Pit Walk, Racequeens, GT500, GT300, support races. We hardly had time to rest. Action just happened fast and furious.
Although it was forecasted that there would be thunderstorms, the only rain we had was during the practise and warmup sessions. Rain clouds threatened to do repeat of the Formula One race thunderstorms that we saw in April. But, the rain held out and we had a wonderful race.
Luck was on car number 3, Hasemi Tomica Ebro GT-R when car number 1, Motul Autech GT-R had a technical problem and had to start from the pit although they qualified in pole. From then on, team Hasemi Tomica Ebro GT-R never looked back from the start of the race and did 54 laps in 1hr 52min 02s to win the Malaysian leg of the Super GT Championship in a Nissan GT-R
